*2005 FIPPS Carping World Champions Individual Pairs (partner J Dean)Only pair in championships to have multiple fish catch.

*2005 FIPPS World Carp Championships Team silver medallist (John Dean and  Mitch Smith, Steve Spurgeon and Chris Rose, Peter Holehouse and Ian Huntington) 



*Captain of the National Federation of Anglers, Carp Team England (True official national Squad) 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007. 
 


*England team victory and 2nd placed (silver Medallist) overall individual pairing in Russia Vs England match ( beat by 9lb by Russian pairing) and caught biggest fish  during match. 



*Highest placed Pairing in  NFA international matches (partner J Dean)  In Belgium 2005 and Russia 2006 in both fish caught weights and points and highest fish weights in Portugal 2006.

Other achievements include extreme range casting expert, winning the distance casting section of the Carpfest spodding championships and being in the cast off for accuracy, loosing on a penalty shoot out cast of by just 1 cast out of 10.
The feeling of representing your country officially in 2 different sports, Carp fishing now and as a British International Shot putter in my twenties. These things will always be with you as long as you live,  your own personal achievements.
